Sarah Vaccaro, AIA, LEED AP BD+C Principal + Owner Sarah Vaccaro is a Principal with OJK Architecture and Planning. She leads and collaborates with the OJK team and their Non-Profit Housing Developer partners, designing multi-family affordable housing and permanent supportive housing that imparts dignity, builds community, and provides a safe home for vulnerable individuals and families. Sarah is a California licensed architect and LEED accredited professional with a passion for the design process and creatively collaborating with clients to best serve the end users. Sarah strongly believes that architecture has the power and responsibility to improve lives through purposefully designed spaces and by affecting positive social change in the broader community.
Kate Conley, AIA, LEED AP Principal + Owner Kate Conley is a Principal at OJK Architecture + Planning. She is a licensed architect in California and Washington State. Kate started her career on affordable housing projects in Southern California after graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Architecture and minor in Sustainable Environments from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Her passion for sustainable design led her to become a LEED AP and drew her to the Bay Area, where she has gained well-rounded technical expertise in a broad spectrum of project types. Focusing first on higher education residential projects, she then pursued flagship retail design opportunities in Chicago and Seattle and commercial office developments in the South Bay. Improving equity and justice in the design and engineering professions is an expanding area of emphasis for Kate, leading her to participate in the AIA Silicon Valley Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Task Force and serve as Events Director for the WIA Committee. Leah Alissa Bayer, AIA President + Owner Leah Alissa Bayer is President of OJK Architecture + Planning. She is a licensed architect in California, Hawaii, and Washington State. Leah started her architecture career designing single and multifamily residential projects in the Bay Area after graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She also has a strong background in creative business design and management focused on transparency and equity, having grown multiple small businesses to success, which she put to the test just prior to joining OJK by founding EVIA Studio, a highly collaborative, women-led, and virtual architecture practice. Leah is passionate about volunteering to improve the profession, currently serving as AIA Silicon Valley’s 2021-2022 Vice President/President-Elect and Chair of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Experience Committee. Greg Horn Project Leader Obtaining his Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2006, Greg brings his passion and altruism to affordable housing. As an integral member of the team, Greg is responsible for leading design-build project team for a multi-family affordable housing project, coordination of MEP consultants and engineers during design development and construction documents. He is in charge of the training of new employees in CAD and office standards
Denise DeLano Forbes Project Architect Denise is a licensed Architect in California and celebrated her 40th year of practice in 2019. Her skillset is wide-ranging, from deep expertise in technical detailing and construction administration to an intuitive command of planning and entitlements. Her portfolio features prominent mixed-use, multifamily, and high-end custom residential projects around the Bay Area, but Denise also has a unique background in specialized medical facilities and prisons from her architectural experience in Canada, where she grew up. A former roller-derby gal and almost-veterinarian animal lover, Denise is a mixed bag of boisterous brilliance. Contractors and engineers LOVE her, and so do we! Denise calls a beautiful, remote property in the Santa Cruz Mountains home where she enjoys gardening, kayaking, skiing, and entertaining for those adventurous enough to make the trek. Andrew Whiting, RIBA Senior Designer Andrew Whiting is a US licensed architect at OJK Architecture + Planning. He received his formal architectural training at the University of Central England, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture in 1997 and receiving his Post-Graduate Diploma in Architecture while studying in Paris in 1999. Andrew has worked for architectural firms in the UK, New York and San Francisco and brings his international experience to OJK Architecture + Planning. Jerome King, FAIA Consultant Jerome King is the original Founder of OJK Architecture + Planning and currently acting as an advising consultant. The son of a lumber company family, Jerome began building at an early age. He received formal training in architecture at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, but considers his years as a design student in Scandanavia to be the most important influence of his passion for beauty and design

His commitment to architecture and design has led to the participation in many architectural exhibitions throughout the Bay Area. He has been active in the AIA for the past 35 years, serving as President of the Santa Clara Valley Chapter and board member of the California Council in 1991, and as chairperson for the AIACC California State Design Awards program in 1993. Jerome is proud of OJK's involvement in the design of several award winning affordable housing developments and its continued emphasis on green and sustainable design.
